Getting Started

We need access to a few things to build out campaigns and integrate analytics. If you have any issues along the way you can email us at team@cometads.com or call us at (305) 899-7229 and the appropriate team member will jump in to assist you.

Please provide us with your 10-digit alphanumeric account number.Instructions for finding your account ID can be found here.

Please provide us with your 15-digit Facebook ad account ID number. Instructions for finding your account ID can be found here.

Please accept our request for admin access. A notification will appear to the right of your News Feed or in an email. Page manager needs to have “Admin” level access to accept our request.

Geofencing Platform
If you’re using a geofencing platform please add digital@tropicsurvival.com as a user to your account or share login credentials with us.

Target Locations
Please inform us of the locations you’d like included in your Geofencing campaign by downloading and completing this Excel workbook. Once complete, please send the workbook to your account rep contact for implementation.

Please provide us with your 10-digit Google Ads client ID number. Instructions for finding your client ID can be found here.

Please grant Admin access to mcc@cometads.com:

  1. Sign in to your Google Analytics account
  2. Select the 'Admin' tab and navigate to the desired account/property
  3. Select User Management in the Account column
  4. Enter mcc@cometads.com in the Add permissions for: field
  5. Select Edit in the dropdown menu to the right of the Add permissions for: field
  6. Select Notify this user by email
  7. Click Add

We'll send you a tracking code to create a “container” in the website’s backend so we can add marketing codes like Google Remarketing, Facebook Ad Pixels, Adroll Pixels, etc. A developer just needs to install Google Tag Manager once and then we can take it from there. Instructions for implementing Google Tag Manager can be found here.

Please grant us Partner Access using the instructions below:

  1. Visit https://business.facebook.com/settings/partners/
  2. Click Add -> Give a partner access to your assets
  3. Under Partner Business ID, enter 275433305981771
  4. Click Next
  5. Select Instagram Accounts on the left side menu
  6. Select your Instagram account
  7. Click Save Changes

Follow these instructions to add joel@tropicsurvival.com as a user to your account:

  1. Login to Mailchimp.
  2. Click your name in the upper right of the screen.
  3. Click Account.
  4. Click Account settings then Account users.
  5. Click Invite a User.
  6. Add the email address of the person to be added to your account and select the user type (permissions).
  7. Click Send Invite.

Please grant digital@tropicsurvival.com admin collaborator staff access.

If you don’t have an existing Twitter Ads account, you can either share your Twitter username and password with us or create a Twitter Ads account and follow the blow instructions to add us as a user.

With an established Twitter Ads account, follow these instructions for granting us access as a user.

  1. Log into your ads.twitter.com.
  2. In the top right corner, select the name of your ads account and select "Edit access to account" from the drop-down menu.
  3. Once on the multi-user login screen of your ads account, click "Add access".
  4. Enter our handle, @CometAds.
  5. Choose the access level ‘Administrator’ from the drop-down menu.
  6. Turn on "Can compose promotable Tweets".
  7. Click "Save changes".

Instructions:

  1. While logged-in, visit https://tweetdeck.twitter.com/
  2. Click "Accounts" (2-heads icon) bottom left
  3. Click "Manage team"
  4. Type in "cometads" to "Add a team member"
  5. Click "Authorize"

Please grant CMS access to digital@tropicalsurvival.com so we can manage the landing pages for these campaigns.

  1. Log in to your WordPress website. When you're logged in, you will be in your 'Dashboard'.
  2. On the left-hand side, you will see a menu. Click on 'Users'.
  3. Across the top, click the 'Add New' button.
  4. Fill out the form and set the role to Administrator.
  5. Click 'Add New User'.
